Carlsbad is known for the Flower Fields that blooms each year. The field covers more than 50 acres. They get approximately 200,000 visitors each spring who get to enjoy a sea of colorful blooms overlooking a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean.

Carlsbad has over 7 miles of beautiful beaches. There is a seawall that runs from Pine Avenue to Tamarack Surf Beach. And a beach walk that runs from Pine Avenue to Cannon and is the site for gorgeous sunsets year round.

Carlsbad has 27 miles of unpaved recreational trails located in open space areas throughout the city with future plans of another 34 miles of trails. There are a variety of parks and recreation facilities available for the general public to use.

Carlsbad’s Downtown Village has unique shops, restaurants and professional services. The city hosts the Street Fair twice a year once in May and again in November. Hundreds of Arts and Crafts booths line the village streets with very unique gift items for all to view or purchase. This Street Fair is known to be the largest single day fair in California.

Carlsbad is known as the golf capitol of the world and is home to world class golf resorts as well as more than 30 golf businesses. This as well as our Tourism, High-tech, Multi-media and Health Care is what helps keep our local economy thriving.

Carlsbad is also home to the family theme park “Legoland.” Built on 128 acres and beautifully landscaped. Legoland has an assortment of activities for children ages 2-12. Featuring very unique displays, attractions, rides, gift shops and restaurants for the whole family to enjoy!
